Description

The Individual and Family Support Unit (IFSU) of the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs is a resource for victims of abuse or neglect, their families, personal representatives and guardians. IFSU advocates provide assistance in a variety of areas, including:

  • guidance and information about the reporting and investigative process
  • support during criminal cases and proceedings
  • victim interview accompaniment
  • case status updates   

All services are offered free.

Additional Information

The Individual and Family Support Unit is staffed Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Free language interpretation assistance is available.

Information and support for individuals and families with behavioral, emotional, physical and/or mental health challenges.

Financial Assistance

Help given to a person or organization in the form of money, loans, reduced taxes, etc.

Legal/Civil Rights/Protective Services

Information regarding the discrimination against people with physical/mental disabilities, as well as information on protective services.

Training and Technical Assistance

Planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of activities designed to achieve specific learning objectives and help resolve problems.
