Disability Rights New York (DRNY)

Description

All requests for assistance are processed by DRNY's Intake Office. The vast majority of requests for assistance are received and processed by telephone or TTY. The intake office is available to conduct telephone or in-person intake interviews Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m, and includes Spanish speaking staff.

Family/Youth Support and Peer Advocacy

Information and support for individuals and families with behavioral, emotional, physical and/or mental health challenges.

Financial Assistance

Help given to a person or organization in the form of money, loans, reduced taxes, etc.

Legal/Civil Rights/Protective Services

Information regarding the discrimination against people with physical/mental disabilities, as well as information on protective services.

Training and Technical Assistance

Planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of activities designed to achieve specific learning objectives and help resolve problems.
