Workforce GPS

Sponsored by the US Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Workforce GPS is an interactive online communication and learning technical assistance (TA) platform that was designed to communicate with and build the capacity of the public workforce investment system to develop and implement innovative approaches to workforce and economic development in the 21st Century economy. This website, which offers resources and peer-to-peer connections, supplements other TA provided by ETA's national and regional staff to help the public workforce system, education professionals, and business.

Youth in Care Corner and Videos

Are YOU a youth in care wondering about the possibility of going to college? Do you have questions that need answers?

This corner is for youth in out-of-home placement and specifically addresses your needs in exploring a higher education. Wherever you may be in your educational journey this site has the answers that you need! This includes everything from the application process, what to expect in college or training, all the way to paying for college. This site is set up to help you communicate with others who have been in foster care and have successfully made it to college and even graduated. You can hear stories of their journeys and learn from firsthand experiences. Youth in care, we care for you! Let the journey begin!

Youth in Progress Regional Associates

Youth in Progress has regional teams in six different areas of New York State. These teams are comprised of youth in care in New York State that promote positive youth development and support adult/youth partnerships and adolescents in achieving successful outcomes.

YOUTH POWER! wants to make sure that youth from all over the state have the same access to opportunities to get involved! That’s why they have five Regional Teams scattered throughout the state, one in each of the five regions: Long Island, NYC, Hudson River, Central, and Western!
