Become a Youth Peer Advocate (YPA)

Are you a young person who is between the ages of 18 and 30 years old with first-hand experience with mental health, special education, or foster care services? Are you curious about ways you could help a younger person who is facing some of the same challenges you faced?

If so, consider becoming a Youth Peer Advocate (YPA). Learn more about how you can use your own experience with recovery to make a positive impact in another young person’s life.

Vacation Program

Sprout’s travel program is dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities grow through challenging and safe travel experiences and social activities. Sprout operates close to one hundred domestic and international trips every year, Sprout provides its participants many travel opportunities in the company of their peers and with the supervision and support of exceptional Sprout Leaders.

Sprout offers a wide variety of trip options including ever-popular destinations like Lake George, Cape Cod, Atlantic City, Orlando, Virginia Beach and Washington D.C; special theme trips have included Baseball Hall Of Fame, Amusement Parks trip and Cruises. Sprout has also offered international travel to cities in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Mexico and many other exciting destinations.

Workforce GPS

Sponsored by the US Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Workforce GPS is an interactive online communication and learning technical assistance (TA) platform that was designed to communicate with and build the capacity of the public workforce investment system to develop and implement innovative approaches to workforce and economic development in the 21st Century economy. This website, which offers resources and peer-to-peer connections, supplements other TA provided by ETA's national and regional staff to help the public workforce system, education professionals, and business.
